Assiniboine Credit Union Offices

This project entailed design work for the integration of Assiniboine Credit Union’s main offices at 200 Main Street. Four of the six stories in the building were totally redeveloped including spaces for administration, meeting rooms, information technology infrastructure, accounting, executive offices, executive board area, staff lounges/locker areas and a call centre. Design work included space planning, furniture and workstation design, interior finishing and custom millwork.

We addressed environmental quality and responsibility in the design using four key elements – demountable partitions, reconfigurable flooring, reconfigurable ceilings and modular furniture. These elements work together in a reasoned and thoughtful manner to create a spatial complexity and a dynamic work space. The complete flexibility of the interior building systems allow for future changes to take place with minimal cost, waste and downtime.

The open office layout was carefully planned to maximize natural light and create a layered experience for the occupants.  Nourishment bars were placed strategically to provide space for coffee/food preparation and informal meetings.  Document bars provide shared space for printing, collating and filing.

We implemented a low impact design that creates an office interior which sits comfortably within the existing building environment. The design emphasizes natural light, makes use of flexible and sustainable materials, provides space that is accessible to all, and presents a quiet but illuminated form of quality.
