This multi-resident housing project is situated on an infill site in the North End of Winnipeg for the purpose of providing long term housing for at-risk youth. The building design consists of twelve prototypical resident units. The residents have self contained units which consist of a modest living and sleeping area, a private washroom and an independent kitchen.
The programme also contains space for communal gathering where social and educational training activities will occur, such as food preparation training which will take place in the common kitchen. The intent is to provide a stable housing solution that encourages and facilitates independent living within a framework of social support.
